 Why? 

BECAUSE family is important. 
BECAUSE our relatives deserve to be remembered by their family. 
BECAUSE our children will grow up to be better people if they have a firm connection 
with their roots. 
BECAUSE we owe a debt to our parents, their parents and their siblings to try and 
ensure that our family remain a "family". 
BECAUSE a father returned home late one evening and noticed that his child was 
reading a story from this site to her friend on the telephone. 
BECAUSE after reading the story, the child asked her father about her grandmother who 
she only remembered dimly and her great-grandmother whom even her father had never 
met. 
BECAUSE that child's father slept well that night in the realization that he had done 
the right thing in trying to foster a connection between our ancestors and our 
children. 






          
 





 My name is Bill Stephens and I have been working on my family genealogy for several 
years now and I am now building this site of all my descendents. Being raised in 
Toombs County Georgia, I was raised around many of my descendants, of surnames like 
Stephens, Darleys, Thigpens, Carr, Sauls, Gibbs, Underwoods, Harrells, Parkers, 
Anderson, Williams and numerous other surnames who are my descendants. This site has 
been designed by me and my wife Sherri for all descendants to cherish and enjoy so

Sauls, Stephens, Thigpen, Underwood, Gibbs, Harrell, Anderson, Williams descendent

descendents.   As you will notice as you work your way through all the different 
functions of this site, there has been a vast amount of information and pictures 
loaded. I have spent 100's of hours researching, traveling, walking Cemeteries, Court 
Houses, talking to the older generation about my descendants.  It has been a thrill 
and a joy that cannot be explained of the amount of interest of this family tree 
website.  I never dreamed that we would have this much support and so many wonderful  
descendants to jump on the band wagon and offer their assistance.  Many have talked 
with me for hours by phone, emails and in person giving me so much energy to proceed 
further to solve the migration route that all my descendents may have traveled 
entering America and following their routes all down the east coast into Georgia. I'm 
asking every descendant who may have any information, old family Bible history, 
documents, pictures or any other valuable information to please forward it to me, to 
help better this site. We will not enter any birth dates on anyone living only where 
they were born and where they reside. This site has been design along with my 
research for everyone to enjoy so therefore any information or pictures on site may 
not be copied or reproduced; without first contacting me. No information on this site 
can be copied or reproduce for monetary gains what so ever. To get permission of use 
of material on this site you may email me above on contact me button. All my 
collection of genealogy and this site will eventually be donated in memory of Curtis 
Edward and Jackie Darley Stephens, my parents, to Ladson Genealogy Library in Vidalia 
Ga. where the library and all other collections they now have can never leave the 
city limits of Vidalia for future generations to research and enjoy. If anyone has
